Premium Earbuds

Flagship wireless earbuds compared by phone compatibility, sound, noise cancellation, comfort, and daily convenience.

Current written guides

Soundcore Liberty 5

If they stay secure in your ears, the Liberty 5 are easy to recommend. I would consider them alongside the Nothing Ear (3a): sound quality and ANC are the highlights, while the fit needs a careful check before you commit.

Sony LinkBuds Clip

I liked having music playing quietly while still being able to talk to everyone around me. The LinkBuds Clip work well for that, but I still reach for AirPods Pro 3 or Sony WF-1000XM6 when I want stronger bass, better sound, and noise cancellation.

Apple AirPods 5

AirPods 5 sound very good and give open-ear fans more of Apple's premium experience for less. I would buy the $129 version, but I still choose AirPods Pro 3 for their more secure fit, stronger ANC, and better overall sound.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro

Galaxy owners get a polished flagship package with excellent sound and useful customization. On iPhone, the missing app and Galaxy-only features make AirPods Pro 3 or Sony's XM6 much easier to recommend.

Sony WF-1000XM6

The XM6 are one of the most complete premium earbuds I have tested: excellent sound, top-tier ANC, a better fit than the XM5, and more cross-platform flexibility than Apple or Samsung. The price is the biggest obstacle.

Nothing Ear (3a)

These are an excellent value if sound quality, app control, and comfort matter more than wireless charging or flagship-level ANC. The recording feature is interesting, but the strong everyday earbud experience is the real reason to buy them.

Apple AirPods Pro 3

An easy recommendation if you use an iPhone and want one pair of earbuds for music, travel, workouts, and calls. If your AirPods Pro 2 still work well, there is no need to rush the upgrade.
